Role Description
Wisdom Club is seeking a compassionate and skilled Physiotherapist to support the physical health, mobility, and overall well-being of elderly residents. The role focuses on assessment, treatment planning, rehabilitation, and preventive care to help seniors maintain independence and improve quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess physical condition, mobility, balance, strength, and functional ability of elderly residents
- Develop and implement individualized physiotherapy treatment plans
- Provide therapy for age-related conditions such as arthritis, osteoporosis, post-stroke rehabilitation, joint pain, and mobility limitations
- Conduct gait training, balance training, strengthening exercises, and pain management therapy
- Support post-surgical and post-hospitalization rehabilitation
- Educate residents and caregivers on exercises, posture, fall prevention, and safe mobility techniques
- Maintain accurate treatment records, progress notes, and reports
- Work closely with doctors, nurses, caregivers, and wellness teams to ensure holistic care
- Monitor improvement and modify treatment plans as required
- Ensure adherence to safety, hygiene, and elderly care compliance standards
- Candidates should be able to design group activities and exercises.
Qualifications and Skills
- Master’s degree in Physiotherapy (MPT)
- Valid registration with relevant Physiotherapy Council
- Strong understanding of elderly health conditions and rehabilitation protocols
- Candidates must be comfortable with both in-center patient management and home care.
- Good communication skills and patient-centric approach
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary care team
Preferred Experience
- 1–5 years of experience as a Physiotherapist, preferably in elderly care, geriatric rehabilitation, assisted living, home healthcare, or hospital settings
- Hands-on experience in chronic neurological conditions, such as Parkinson's, stroke, and diabetic neuropathy i.e. Neuro MPT.
- Experience in balance training, fall prevention, gait training, and mobility improvement programs for seniors
- Prior exposure to post-stroke, arthritis, osteoporosis, and joint replacement rehabilitation
- Experience working in a multidisciplinary healthcare team (doctors, nurses, caregivers)
- Familiarity with documentation, progress tracking, and compliance standards in healthcare settings
