JD - Spine Specialist
Training Period & Details
Every Physiotherapist joining us undergoes a comprehensive 1 month training program focusing on building them as
a Spine Specialist. The training comprises the following
Clinical
- Accurate history taking including detailed probing into information provided to identify any
information needed to form the diagnosis
- Detailed examination of the patient using various manual therapy techniques
- Hands-on treatment - including exercise progressions, exercise forms, identifying trick
movements, understanding the prohibited exercises and the rationale
- Using technology to ensure consistent diagnosis and treatment of patients
Processes
- Recording the diagnosis and patient's functional goals and tracking them closely throughout the
treatment journey
- Recording treatment progress at intervals and end of treatment outcomes
- All other operational processes related to patient's journey within the organisation ensuring that
they are taken care of

- Handling barriers - Why should a patient choose conservative treatment
- Handling touch situations
Post training - There is an on-going mentoring for the next 2 months to ensure they are inducted into our
system
Post Training - Job Responsibilities Of The Spine Specialist
Doing a comprehensive first consultation with patients arriving at the accurate final diagnosis of his/ her
condition
Explaining the diagnosis, the treatment approach and outcomes to be expected post treatment to the patient
and convincing them to start treatment with us.
Ensuring complete case hand-overs to the Patient Counsellors or other Doctors when needed to ensure
smooth patient handling journey
Administering treatment to the patients as per the defined Plan of Care.
Tracking progress of the patient throughout the treatment journey to ensure outcomes are achieved in a
timely manner
Continuous expectation setting with patients on the importance of being compliant with the treatment and
home exercise programs to ensure treatment of the root cause for full recovery and not just pain reduction
Recommending the products needed by patients to maintain their posture while doing their daily activities
Maintaining all records of patients diagnosis, treatment and outcomes on the app and keeping it updated
real time
Coordinating with the central escalations team or with other internal medical specialists (ortho, neuro) to
ensure the right medical intervention for the patient ensuring holistic patient care
Collaborating with the virtual team and ensuring complete case overs to ensure that patients who are unable
to travel regularly for their treatment to the clinic are getting the desired treatment virtually.
Expected Behaviours/ Skills
Work collaboratively with the clinic team and cross functional teams ensuring excellent patient treatment
and experience in the clinic at all times.
Highest levels of patient ownership and ownership for the organisation when representing it in front of the
patient
Continuous learning to excel clinically and as a Doctor overall
Qualifications
Min Bachelor of Physiotherapy ( BPT )
Shift timings
Shift 1 - 7am to 3pm
Shift 2 - 1pm to 9pm.
It is pre-requisite for interested applicants to be open to working in either shifts( any 8 hours)
Working days
6 days working with 1 weekly off (Our clinics are open on all days of the week and hence Sundays is a
working day for the Doctors. They will however receive their weekly off during one of the weekdays)
Compensation
Starting compensation is 24k per month going upto 35k per month depending on the qualification,
experience if any, performance in the interview process and other relevant courses done.
Note
All candidates choosing to join us are required to sign a 1.5 year deed of indemnity towards the training
provided.
Job Requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) degree is required
- Master of Physiotherapy (MPT) degree is a plus
- Certification in Orthopedics or Neurology is a plus
- Experience in managing back pain or as a Spine Specialist is preferred
- Strong empathy and communication skills are essential
- Experience in Pain Management is a plus
