About the Role
Vertis Health is looking for an experienced Consultant Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist to join our growing CYP Neurodevelopmental Services, providing senior clinical leadership across our ADHD and Autism diagnostic pathways.
You will act as the senior clinical decision‑maker for complex presentations, support MDT clinicians, and ensure safe, evidence‑based assessment and diagnosis for children and young people aged 6–18.

What You’ll Do
- Lead and sign off ADHD and Autism diagnostic assessments
- Provide senior oversight of complex or unclear cases
- Supervise MDT clinicians (GPs, psychologists, nurses, Band 7 assessors)
- Deliver high‑quality clinical formulation, diagnostic reporting and care planning
- Participate in weekly MDT meetings and case review processes
- Support governance activities including audits, quality dashboards and safeguarding
- Ensure assessments follow NICE guidance and neurodiversity‑affirming practice

What We’re Looking For
Essential:
- GMC registration with licence to practise
- CCT in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry or Paediatrics
- Minimum 3 years’ experience assessing CYP ADHD & Autism
- Strong skills in neurodevelopmental formulation and differential diagnosis
- Ability to manage complex comorbid presentations
- Experience supervising MDT clinicians
- Excellent communication with children, young people and families
- Safeguarding Level 3 (Children)
Desirable:
- ADOS/ADI‑R training
- Experience interpreting QB Test data
- Experience in primary care ND pathways or independent sector ND services
- Teaching or service development experience
Work Location
- Remote working (UK-based) with occasional in‑person meetings in Worcestershire.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £109,725.00-£145,478.00 per year
Expected hours: 1 – 8.5 per week
Work Location: Hybrid remote in Redditch B97 5JX
