We are hiring a Director – Medical Services for a newly launched healthcare unit in Gurgaon. The is the senior‑most clinical administrative leader responsible for clinical governance, patient safety, ethical medical practice, accreditation, and medical operations of the hospital. The role ensures delivery of high‑quality, compliant, and patient‑centric medical services while partnering with business and operational leadership.
Key Responsibilities
1. Clinical Governance & Quality
- Establish and sustain robust clinical governance frameworks across OPD, IPD, ICU, Emergency, and ancillary services.
- Ensure adherence to NABH / JCI / statutory and regulatory requirements and lead hospital accreditation initiatives.
- Lead medical audits, mortality & morbidity meetings, clinical reviews, CME programs, and ethical committees.
- Ensure implementation of standard clinical protocols, SOPs, and safety policies across departments.
2. Medical Administration & Operations
- Oversee day‑to‑day functioning of medical services, resident doctors, and clinical support teams.
- Coordinate with HODs to ensure optimal manpower planning, duty rosters, and service coverage.
- Lead clinical operations during hospital commissioning and stabilization phase.
- Act as the clinical escalation authority for patient safety, adverse events, and medico‑legal matters.
3. Consultant & Clinical Workforce Management
- Lead recruitment, credentialing, privileging, and onboarding of consultants in coordination with HR.
- Monitor clinical performance, discipline, and adherence to organizational values.
- Ensure compliance to ethical medical practices and professional conduct standards.
4. Patient Safety & Experience
- Drive a patient‑first culture ensuring high standards of care and patient outcomes.
- Work closely with nursing, quality, and operations teams to improve clinical NPS and patient satisfaction.
- Review and lead corrective actions on clinical incidents, complaints, and sentinel events.
5. Strategic & Leadership Responsibilities
- Partner with CEO, COO, Quality, Nursing, and Business teams on hospital strategy and growth.
- Support specialty development, service line planning, and clinical expansion initiatives.
- Represent the hospital in clinical forums, regulatory bodies, and inspections.
Eligibility & Qualifications
- MBBS with MD/MS (preferred specializations: Medicine, Surgery, Anesthesia, or allied clinical disciplines)
- 20–25+ years of experience in clinical practice and hospital administration
- Prior experience as Medical Superintendent / DMS / Clinical Head in a multi‑specialty hospital
- Strong knowledge of NABH/JCI, medico‑legal frameworks, and hospital regulations
