Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Doctor role based at NEOMED Hospital in Tirunelveli. The Doctor will provide comprehensive clinical care to patients with cardiac and related conditions, including assessment, diagnosis, and ongoing management. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting outpatient consultations, performing physical examinations, reviewing diagnostic reports, and creating individualized treatment plans aligned with hospital protocols. The Doctor will supervise and coordinate patient care with nursing and allied health teams, ensuring accurate documentation and timely follow-up. Additional responsibilities include educating patients and families about treatment options such as Preventive Artery Clearance Therapy and Chelation Therapy, participating in clinical meetings, and supporting quality improvement and safety initiatives within the hospital.
Qualifications
- Recognized medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) with valid registration from the appropriate medical council; postgraduate qualification in Internal Medicine or Cardiology is preferred.
- Clinical experience in managing cardiac patients, including angina, chest pain, and coronary artery disease, with a strong grounding in evidence-based medicine.
- Ability to perform thorough clinical evaluations, interpret diagnostic tests, and develop safe, effective treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Strong patient-centered communication skills, including the ability to explain complex medical information clearly and support shared decision-making.
- Commitment to ethical practice, patient safety, and adherence to hospital protocols and regulatory standards.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team, supervise junior staff when needed, and contribute to a respectful, inclusive workplace.
- Interest or experience in non-surgical cardiac interventions such as Preventive Artery Clearance Therapy and Chelation Therapy is an advantage; training can be provided for suitable candidates.
