Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Radiologist role based in Chennai. The Radiologist will be responsible for interpreting imaging studies such as X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, ultrasounds, and other diagnostic modalities. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing imaging requests, ensuring appropriate imaging protocols, generating accurate and timely reports, and discussing findings with referring clinicians. The role also involves participating in multidisciplinary meetings, guiding technologists on imaging quality and safety, and adhering to relevant clinical and regulatory standards. The Radiologist will contribute to maintaining high-quality patient care, supporting diagnostic decision-making, and promoting best practices in imaging.
Qualifications
- Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) from a recognized institution and completion of a postgraduate qualification in Radiology (MD, DNB, or equivalent).
- Valid medical registration and eligibility to practice Radiology as per local regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency in interpreting X-ray, CT, MRI, and ultrasound studies; experience with emergency and cross-sectional imaging is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with PACS/RIS, electronic medical records, and standard radiology reporting workflows.
- Strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and commitment to evidence-based practice and patient safety.
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with referring clinicians, technologists, and other healthcare team members.
- Ability to work on-site in a busy clinical environment, manage workload efficiently, and prioritize urgent cases.
- Willingness to participate in continuous professional development, quality improvement activities, and, where applicable, on-call or rotational duties.
- Prior experience in a hospital or diagnostic center setting in Radiology is preferred; newly qualified specialists with strong training backgrounds are also encouraged to apply.
