Job Overview
Our client in Hyderabad requires a Radiographer with CT and X-ray experience for an imaging centre that handles routine, emergency, and referral-based cases. The role requires technical accuracy, patient reassurance, positioning skill, and careful attention to radiation-safety practices.
Detailed Job Description
The radiographer will review investigation requests, confirm patient identity, check clinical indications, prepare patients for scans, position patients correctly, select suitable protocols, acquire diagnostic-quality images, and ensure that images are transferred properly for reporting. The role includes handling digital radiography, CT preparation, contrast-readiness coordination where applicable, patient instructions, pregnancy-safety checks, emergency-case support, and immediate escalation if a patient becomes uncomfortable or unstable during imaging.
The candidate must maintain equipment readiness, report technical faults, follow radiation-protection rules, use shielding where required, and keep imaging rooms clean and organised. The radiographer will coordinate with radiologists, nurses, front-desk staff, referring doctors, and attendants to maintain timely patient flow while protecting patient privacy. Documentation should include scan details, contrast-related notes where relevant, incident records, and protocol deviations when approved by the radiologist or facility policy.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is technically confident, patient with elderly or anxious patients, and careful when imaging paediatric, trauma, or mobility-restricted cases. The candidate should be able to work rotating shifts if required. Final salary, modality allocation, and roster will depend on employer interview and credential verification.
Licensing / Registration Notes
Candidates should provide radiography qualification certificates, experience documents, identity proof, and radiation-safety training records where available. Facility-specific compliance requirements will be confirmed during selection.
