Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru for an MBBS Doctor with a diploma in Psychiatry or Dermatology (or equivalent specialization). The doctor will provide clinical consultations focused on sexual health, STIs, and related dermatological or psychological concerns, ensuring respectful, confidential, and evidence-based care. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting detailed patient histories and examinations, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, formulating treatment plans, and providing follow-up care. The role involves close coordination with counselors and lab partners, documentation of clinical encounters, adherence to medical ethics and regulatory guidelines, and participation in patient education initiatives. The doctor may also contribute to protocol development, quality improvement, and occasional training or awareness sessions as part of the broader clinical team.
Qualifications
- MBBS degree from a recognized institution with valid Medical Council registration; diploma or formal training in Psychiatry or Dermatology preferred.
- Clinical experience in sexual health, STIs, dermatology or mental health, including taking sensitive histories and managing confidential information.
- Ability to interpret lab results, prescribe appropriate treatments, and provide clear, empathetic explanations to patients.
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to counsel patients on sexual health, risk reduction, and treatment adherence in a non-judgmental manner.
- Comfort working with diverse populations, including individuals of different genders, orientations, and backgrounds, with a commitment to non-discriminatory care.
- Proficiency in maintaining accurate medical records and following clinical protocols and legal requirements related to sexual health and STIs.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including counselors, lab partners, and administrative staff.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of local languages (such as Kannada, Hindi) is an advantage.
- Previous experience in teleconsultation or digital health settings is beneficial.
- Willingness to participate in ongoing training, stay updated with clinical guidelines, and contribute to service improvement initiatives.
