Role Overview
Working under the supervision and delegation of a registered Family Physician—and in alignment with CPSO’s policy on delegation—the Physician Assistant/Associate will provide comprehensive patient care in accordance with mutually agreed-upon clinical guidelines.
Clinical Responsibilities
- Conduct patient interviews, focused histories, and physical examinations (in-person and virtual), and concisely summarize clinical findings.
- Interpret diagnostic results, formulate differential diagnoses, and develop management plans in collaboration with supervising physicians.
- Provide chronic disease management, preventive care counselling, lifestyle guidance, and health education aligned with EPICare’s longevity-informed approach.
- Support routine primary care services, including well-child visits, women’s health, mental health assessments, and geriatric care.
- Promote and coordinate routine screenings, vaccinations, and population health initiatives.
- Perform controlled acts delegated through established medical directives, in accordance with the Regulated Health Professions Act (RHPA).
- Maintain detailed, accurate, and timely clinical documentation within our EMR (Avaros).
- Uphold strict confidentiality and privacy standards in alignment with applicable legislation.
Team & Operational Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with family physicians, allied health providers, MOAs, and clinic leadership to ensure smooth clinical flow.
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, workflow optimization, and patient experience enhancements.
- Participate in case discussions, care coordination activities, and continuity-of-care efforts for rostered and walk-in patients.
Qualifications & Skills
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program, or an international medical graduate (IMG) / internationally trained physician with relevant clinical experience.
- Certification through CAPA (Canadian Association of Physician Assistants) is considered an asset for Ontario-trained PAs, but not required for international medical graduates or internationally trained physicians.
- Eligible to work in Ontario.
- Canadian clinical experience is a strong asset and is preferred.
- Strong proficiency in the English language is mandatory, including clear written and verbal communication.
- Experience in a high-volume primary care or community medicine environment is strongly preferred.
- Excellent clinical judgment, organizational skills, and ability to manage competing priorities.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and team collaboration skills.
- Compassionate, adaptable, and committed to delivering patient-centred care.

Pay: $20.00-$35.00 per hour
