The People Experience Center (PEC) is the HR Shared Services for Godrej Industries Limited and Associate Companies (GILAC). PEC plays a critical role in delivering consistent, scalable, and high‑quality HR operations across businesses, with a strong focus on service delivery, compliance, and employee experience.
Role Summary:
The Senior Manager – HR Operations is accountable for end‑to‑end HR Operations delivery across GILAC. The role ensures stable, compliant, and high‑quality execution of core HR operational processes while partnering closely with HR Business Partners, CoEs, HR Digital/IT, and business stakeholders to support business continuity and employee lifecycle needs.
Key Responsibilities:
1. HR Operations Delivery & Governance
- Lead end‑to‑end HR Operations across GILAC, including Onboarding, Background Verification, Employee Transfers, Position Management, and Offboarding.
- Act as Process Owner for HR Operations workflows, policies, controls, and SLAs.
- Own and monitor HR Operations KPIs such as TAT, Service Quality, Cost per Transaction, and NPS.
- Ensure audit readiness, statutory compliance, and adherence to internal controls across all HR Ops processes.
- Drive capacity planning, FTE sizing for PEC.
2. Service Excellence & Stakeholder Management
- Ensure consistent and reliable HR service delivery across all business units.
- Act as a single‑point escalation owner for HR Operations issues.
- Partner with HRBPs, CoEs, Finance, and Business leaders to resolve operational challenges.
- Manage HR Operations vendors and service partners to ensure SLA adherence.
3. Process Transitions & PEC Scope Expansion
- Identify additional HR operational processes and services suitable for transition into PEC.
- Lead process transitions and stabilization, ensuring minimal business disruption.
- Drive change adoption with HR and business stakeholders during transitions.
4. HR Operations MIS & Reporting
- Own HR Operations MIS, dashboards, and periodic reporting for leadership.
- Track trends related to headcount movements, onboarding/offboarding volumes, service performance, and compliance metrics.
- Provide operational insights to senior HR leadership to support decision‑making.
5. Team Leadership & Capability Building
- Lead, coach, and manage HR Operations Leads and Specialists within PEC.
- Ensure team capability across HR systems, policies, and operational processes.
- Drive team engagement, performance management, recognition, and retention.
Key Stakeholders
- Internal: HR Business Partners, HR CoEs, HR Digital/IT, Finance, Audit, Admin, Business Leadership.
- External: HR vendors, background verification partners, and other service providers.
Reporting & Team Structure
- Reports to: Lead - HR Operations & Process Excellence (AVP)
- Team: HR Operations Leads and Specialists within PEC
Education: Full‑time MBA in Human Resources from a reputed institute
Experience:
- 10+ years of experience in HR Operations / HR Shared Services in a large, complex organization
- Proven experience in leading HR Operations teams and managing vendors at scale
Key Competencies:
- Strong stakeholder management and execution focus
- Operational rigor with attention to detail and controls
- Ability to manage scale and complexity
- Data‑oriented approach to service monitoring and reporting
- People leadership and team development skills
