Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Veterinary Doctor working with small animals at Dairy Dictionary’s NGO branch located in Pune City. Responsibilities include diagnosing and treating medical conditions of small animals, carrying out routine health checks, administering vaccinations, and providing preventative care. The role also involves creating treatment plans, performing minor surgeries, and educating pet owners about animal health and welfare. The Veterinary Doctor will work closely with the team to ensure the well-being and rehabilitation of animals under care.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in diagnosis and medical treatment of small animals
- Experience in administering vaccinations and developing preventative care plans
- Proficient in performing minor surgical procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with pet owners and team members effectively
- Compassionate, detail-oriented, and committed to animal welfare
- Sound knowledge of animal nutrition, hygiene, and rehabilitation practices
- Veterinary degree (BVSc or equivalent) and a valid veterinary license
- Prior experience working in a similar role with NGOs or animal care organizations is a plus
