Position Overview
Parul University invites applications for the position of Dean– Physiotherapy. The University seeks an experienced academic leader with strong expertise in academics, research, clinical coordination, and administration to lead the Faculty of Physiotherapy towards excellence in education, healthcare services, research, and institutional growth.
Key Responsibilities
Academic & Curriculum Leadership
- Lead academic planning, curriculum implementation, and quality enhancement initiatives for Physiotherapy programs.
- Promote outcome-based education, interdisciplinary learning, and innovative teaching methodologies.
- Chair academic meetings and contribute to Board of Studies activities.
Research & Faculty Development
- Encourage research culture, scholarly publications, funded projects, and consultancy initiatives.
- Mentor faculty members for academic progression, higher education, and research excellence.
- Facilitate faculty development programs, workshops, seminars, and conferences.
Administration & Operations
- Oversee the overall academic and administrative functioning of the Faculty.
- Ensure efficient resource planning, infrastructure development, and budget management.
- Participate in strategic planning and institutional policy implementation.
- Coordinate recruitment, appraisal, mentoring, and performance management of faculty and staff.
Accreditation & Quality Assurance
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements.
- Lead NAAC, ranking, and quality assurance initiatives.
- Maintain academic records, statutory documentation, and audit preparedness.
Eligibility Criteria
- MPT with PhD from a recognized institution.
- Minimum 15 years of teaching/clinical experience.
- Candidates should currently be working at the level of Principal / Dean / Associate Dean / Head of Institution in a recognized institution.
- Minimum 5 years of academic administrative leadership experience.
- Strong research background with publications and academic contributions.
- Experience in accreditation, hospital coordination, and academic excellence initiatives will be preferred.
