Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Paediatric Physiotherapist role based in Delhi, India. The Paediatric Physiotherapist will assess infants, children, and adolescents with developmental, neurological, orthopedic, or cardiorespiratory conditions, and design individualized treatment plans. Daily responsibilities include conducting physical assessments, setting therapeutic goals, delivering evidence-based physiotherapy interventions, and monitoring progress. The role involves educating parents and caregivers on home exercise programs, posture, mobility, and prevention of complications. The Paediatric Physiotherapist will maintain accurate clinical documentation, coordinate with multidisciplinary team members (such as pediatricians, occupational therapists, and psychologists), and contribute to parent education sessions and community outreach initiatives as needed.
Qualifications
- Recognized bachelor’s or master’s degree in Physiotherapy (preferably with specialization or significant experience in pediatrics).
- Valid registration or license to practice physiotherapy as per local regulatory requirements.
- Demonstrated experience in paediatric physiotherapy, including assessment and treatment of developmental delays, cerebral palsy, neuromuscular and musculoskeletal conditions.
- Strong clinical skills in therapeutic exercises, neurodevelopmental techniques, positioning, gait training, and use of assistive devices.
- Ability to develop individualized treatment plans, set measurable goals, and document progress accurately and timely.
- Effective communication skills to interact with children, families, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams in a clear and empathetic manner.
- High level of patience, emotional resilience, and sensitivity when working with children of varying abilities and backgrounds.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented, community-focused environment and participate in case discussions and case conferences.
- Basic computer literacy for electronic record-keeping, reporting, and communication.
- Prior experience in hospital, clinic, rehabilitation center, or NGO settings is an advantage; additional training or certifications in pediatric rehabilitation or neurodevelopmental therapy is a plus.
