Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Ayurvedic Doctor role based at Dr. Joshi's Holistic Multispecialty Clinic in Borivali. The Ayurvedic Doctor will conduct patient consultations, including detailed history-taking, examination, diagnosis, and formulation of individualized Ayurvedic treatment plans. Daily responsibilities include prescribing internal medicines and external therapies, advising on diet and lifestyle modifications, and monitoring patient progress through regular follow-ups. The role involves collaborating with other practitioners and the in-house manufacturing team to ensure appropriate use of organic formulations. The Ayurvedic Doctor will maintain accurate medical records, adhere to clinical protocols, participate in case discussions, and support patient education initiatives on preventive health and holistic wellness.
Qualifications
- Formal qualification in Ayurveda (e.g., BAMS or equivalent) from a recognized institution and valid registration with the appropriate medical council.
- Strong clinical skills in Ayurvedic diagnosis, treatment planning, and prescription of medicines and therapies, including Panchakarma and other classical procedures.
- Ability to provide clear, compassionate patient communication, including counseling on diet, lifestyle, and preventive health in a holistic framework.
- Experience working in a clinical setup, preferably in an integrative or holistic care environment, with familiarity in maintaining detailed medical documentation.
- Comfort collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, demonstrating professionalism, ethical practice, and respect for diverse patients and colleagues.
- Interest in organic and sustainable healthcare practices, with willingness to learn about in-house manufacturing processes and product usage.
- Basic computer literacy for managing electronic records and scheduling; proficiency in English and local languages is an advantage.
- Prior experience in an outpatient clinic or hospital setting in Mumbai or similar urban context is beneficial.
